It can be coded with data to identify stocked articles by NSN, part number, serial number, location, and/or other data. The tag may be of varied shapes, such as a button, credit card, or the like. The tag may be active, semi-active or passive. The tag is usually identified by radio frequency and does not require a line of sight from the tag to the reader. Excludes: TRACKING DEVICE,ASSET.
