A device which uses centrifugal force to retrieve cells or microorganisms from body fluids, such as cerebrospinal fluid, synovial fluid, sputum, or urine, while preserving cell morphology. It spins at lower speeds, has more gradual acceleration and deceleration than a laboratory centrifuge, and may be capable of depositing cells directly onto a slide for examination purposes.
