An electrical device consisting of a resistance element or a conducting polymer and may include insulating material, sheathing, supports, electric terminals and automatic controls to regulate the amount of heat generated or to detect ice build up or low temperatures. These heaters are designed to protect antennas, antenna pedestals or radomes from the effects of ice or low temperatures. Includes antenna heaters used in space, on land, aircraft and watercraft. Excludes:items used as residential, industrial, or commercial space heaters, fluid heaters or solid material heaters.
