A plug, externally threaded at one end, which incorporates a self-sealing feature for the purpose of automatically shutting off the flow of fluid when disconnected from an lubrication line opening. The other end is specifically designed to mate with a fitting which has a quick disconnect end and a magnetic tip which, when mounted in the plug, push its self-sealing device allowing contact with the fluid flow. This fitting is used to collect iron filings to check engine abrasion wear.
