권총, 소총 및 이와 유사한 품목과 같은 화기 연습훈련 또는 시험 중에 특수한 사거리에서 사격을 하기 위하여 설계한 품목이다. 바람에 의한 편차 및 고저 조정에 대한 수정을 정하기 위하여 통상 사용되는 눈금이 표시된 사각형이며 중심에 있는 흑색 조준점으로 구성되었다. 이 품목은 보다 근접한 거리에서 사격하는 반면에 중, 장거리에서 화기의 적절한 조준선 정열을 결정하기 위하여 설계되었다. 이 품목은 실탄 탄착 지점과 사수의 조준선정열과 일치하도록 만들어 주며, 대부분의 경우 종이로 만든다. “ 표적, 윤곽형 및 표적 총강 조준형”은 제외한다.

An item designed to be fired at from a specified range during the practicing with or testing of firearms such as pistols, rifles, and the like. It consists of a centrally located aiming point, usually black in color, with graduated squares used for determining correction of windage and elevation adjustments. It is designed to determine the weapon's proper aiming sight alignment for medium and long range performance while being fired at from a closer range. This allows the point of impact of the bullet to coincide with the line of sight of the shooter. This item is most commonly made from paper. Excludes: TARGET, SILHOUETTE AND TARGET, BORESIGHTING.
