냉각터빈으로부터 분출된 후에 항공기 공기조절 계통에 있는압축된 기류로부터 자유수분 또는 수증기를 분리시키는 품목이다. 객실과 혹은 간막이방에 수분이 함유된 대기를 공급한다. 입구,출구 구멍과 배수구멍이 있는 원통형 또는 계란형 외피와 원통형, 직사각형 또는 원추형의 응축기와 응축기를 지난후에 수분을 수집하는 장치로 구성된 다. 내부 우회밸브를 포함할 수있다. 일반적으로 다음의 두가지 형태로 구성된다. (1)수분이 응축기를 지나서 저부와 배수구로 나온후에 관형중심 부에 수분을 모으는 응축기 분리기이다. (2)수분을 내포한 공기가 모아져서 배수구로 나오는 외피에 수분을 내보내는 응축기를 지날때 신속하게 수분이 포함된 공기가 섞이게 하는 소용돌이 형태의 품목이다.

An item that separates free moisture or water vapor from the compressed airstream in an aircraft air conditioning system after it is discharged from a cooling turbine. Provides moisture-free air for cabin/compartments. Normally consists of a cylindrical or oval-shaped shell with an inlet/outlet port, a drain port, a cylindrical, rectangular, or conical condenser, and a device to collect the moisture after it leaves the condenser. May include an internal bypass valve. Generally consists of two types: (1) the condenser-eliminator type, which collects the moisture on a tubular type core after it leaves the condenser, runs to the bottom, and drains out; (2) the swirl type, which causes the moist air to swirl rapidly as it leaves the condenser, throwing the moisture against the shell, where it collects and runs down to drain.
