U형금속체는 베어링 설치하는데 쓰인는 일반적인 록킹슬리브에 홈이 있는 너트를 잠그도록 제작되었다. 이 품목은 스크류에 의해 고정되고 슬리브홈과 너트의 한홈에 끼워 넣도록 되어 있다. 자리에 넣어 잠글때 잠금장치는 너트를 돌리지 않도록 그리고 설치된 베어링이 풀리지 않도록 한다.

A U shape metallic item designed to lock a slotted nut on a locking sleeve generally used for bearing(s) mounting. The item is inserted in one slot of the nut and in the sleeve slot and fixed by means of a screw. When locked in position it secures the nut from turning and the mounting bearing from loosening.
