목표지역을 탐지하기 위해 3급 조사 레이저를 활용하는 소총의 브래킷에 장착된 전기식 조준기로써 주간이나 야간에 사용되며 소총의 조준장치로도 활용된다. 적당한 연락지점과 착륙지대를 통지하기 위해 진입하는 보병,차량,항공기 등을 위해 유도신호로서의 섬광모드에 응용된다.

A battery-powered sight, mounted by bracket to a rifle, which utilizes a Class III illuminator laser to search a target area. The system may be used either in daylight or at night and may also be employed as an aiming device for the rifle. The illuminator may also be applied in the momentary guide flash mode as a guidance signal for approaching infantry, vehicles, aircraft, and the like, to serve notification of the appropriate rendezvous point and/or landing zone.
