A portable metallic device consisting of three paneled sections joined together by hinges. When the two side panels are folded over the center panel the item may easily be carried by the attached handle. When open, and placed in a vertical position, it becomes a protective barrrier. The center panel is designed with a viewing port, hand grips, shoulder harness, and the like. It also has a round hole, used by personnel during fire fighting, for placing a flexible hose through which fire retardant substances may be forced, producing a spray.
