소화호스 이음쇠를 또는 소화호스나 다른 소화호스 이음쇠에 연결하도록 고안된 직선 소화호스 이음쇠로써, 소화호스 이음쇠에 소화호스를 연결하기 위해 두가지 형태의 소화호스 연결기가 있으며 하나는 규격 호스 나사산이 있다. 두개의 소화호스 이음쇠를 연결하기 위해 양 끝에 동일한 사이즈의 규격 호스나사산을 가진 두가지 형태의 소화호스 연결기이어야 하며 오직 한 연결기는 외부 나사산이어야 한다. 자동방루식 및 신속분리 특성을 가진 품목은 제외한다.

A straight fire hose fitting designed to join a fire hose fitting or to a fire hose or another fire hose fitting. For connecting fire hose to fire hose fittings it must have two types of fire hose connections and one connection must have standard hose threads. For connecting two fire hose fittings it must have two types of fire hose connections that have standard hose threads of the same size on both ends, only one connection may be externally threaded. Excludes:items with self-sealing and/or quick disconnect features.
