A fitting that forms an angle of less than 180 degrees (3.41 radians) from a straight flow. One connecting end has machine threads (straight threads other than pipe or hose series) designed to accommodate a tube. The other end has standard hose threads, an incomplete part of a threaded end connection that grips the fire hose directly, or is unthreaded and designed to accommodate a fire hose.
