An item specifically designed to provide refueling support for rotary wing aircraft. It consists of a fuel pump and holding tanks, hoses couplings and nozzles required for four refueling points. The pump provides filtered fuel at a rate of 55 GPM to each of the four refueling points simultaneously. The hoses allow refueling at a distance of 100 feet between aircraft. All items are stowed in containers designed for easy handling. The AAFARS may be manually carried from the transport vehicle/aircraft to the selected refueling site, where it is easy assembled. The item functions under all terrain and/or environmental conditions, including total darkness. Excludes:FUEL SYSTEM, SUPPLY POINT (FSSP), and FORWARD REFUELING EQUIPMENT (FARE).
