낮은 속력의 범퍼 에너지를 제거해 버리고 특정 속도 범위로 차량의 범퍼, 차체 및 프레임에 대한 보호를 제공하기 위하여 설계되었다. 이 장비는 부동하는 피스톤 또는 이와 유사 품목에 의하여 수압 유체로부터 분리된 가스의 충전량을 결합시키고 충전된 가스의 량은 범퍼를 특별한 속도 범위내의 충격이후에 최초의 위치로 돌아가도록 작용한다. 이 장치는 정상적으로 한 끝에 있는 차량 프레임에 설치되고 반대편 끝에는 범퍼 설치 수용 공간에 설치한다.

Designed to dissipate the energy of low speed bumper impacts and provide protection to the vehicle bumper, body and frame within a specific speed range. The unit combines a charged volume of gas separated from hydaulic fluid by a floating piston or the like, the charged gas volume restores the bumper to its original position after impact within the specific speed range. The unit is normally mounted to the vehicle frame on one end and bumper mounting accommodations on the opposite end.
