비금속 재료로부터 제작된 품목으로서 결합된 부품사이에 상대적 운동이 없는 곳에 사용하기 위하여 설계하였다. 정사각형 또는 직사각형의 단면은 특수한 형태를 형성하기 위하여 말단이 상호 기능이 보장될 수 있는 단일 부품이 되어야만 한다. 이것은 접합 점을 보유하든 또는 보유하지 않든 간에 원형 이외의 특수한 형태로 형성될 수 있다. 이 품목은 섬유, 코드 또는 금속 보강물을 보유할 수 있다. 주조된 모서리, 말단 끝 그리고 홈, 구멍, 압연식 버튼 또는 이와 유사품과 같은 설치 설비물을 제외하고 품목들은 한 개 지속적인 단면이 되어야만 한다. 정사각형의 말단 끝을 보유한 직선형 품목과 그리고 설치 홈, 구멍 또는 압연 버튼이 없는 품목은 "고무 조각"을 참조한다. 원형 단면을 보유한 품목은 "봉합제, 비금속원형, 단면형"을 참조한다. Items having a square or rectangular cross section must be a single piece whose ends may have been secured together to form a specific shape. It may be formed to a specific shape, except round, with or without joints. It may have fabric, cord or metal reinforcement. Except for molded corners, end cuts, and mounting facilities such as holes, slots, press-fit buttons, or the like, the item must be of one continuous cross section.
