금속 및 비금속 외장재에 결속된 샌드위치 및허니콤 코어를 가진 다양한 모양의 성형된 품목이다. 이 품목은 항공기 날개,미익,엔진실,조종석,선체안의 구성품이나 조립칸막이에 혹은 선체의 어떤 부분을 감싸는데 쓰인다. 또한 조종품목을 절단하거나 뚫은 구멍을 가진 자체 혹은 지지를 위한 기타 편이 시설이나 브라켓을 제외한것에 품목을 장치하지않은 품목이다. 이 품목은 조임이나 묶음 혹은 용접으로 장치되기도 한다.

A preformed item of various shapes, and contours, which may have a sandwich or honeycomb core bonded to a metallic or nonmetallic facing material. It is used to enclose integral portions of the fuselage or to form partitions or sections within a wing, empennage, fuselage, nacelle or crew compartment. It may have mounting provisions such as predrilled holes to facilitate installation, but will have no items attached to it except bracket (s) or other securing devices to accommodate its own mounting or support.
