자료가 뚫어진 구멍을 사용하거나 대조되고 목록이 기록되고 분류되고 총계가 나오도록하는 다른 방법을 사용하여 수록되거나 그렇지 않으면 자료가 전기회계기에 의해서 처리되는 카드이다.마이크로필름을 장치하기 위하여 고안된 직사각형의 구멍이 난 카드가 포함되며 필름이 포함될 수도 있다.

A card on which data are entered by use of punched holes or other means which can be collated, listed, sorted, totaled, or otherwise manipulated by an electric accounting machine. Includes cards with a rectangular hole designed for mounting microfilm. The film may or may not be included.
