A power operated machine having a circular or rectangular container in which controlled abrading takes place by subjecting the total mass of parts, (i.e., casting, forgings, machined and pressed parts, stone and the like), finishing medium, and finishing compound to simultaneous vibration and sliding actions. Circular types may also impart a spiral orbital motion to the mass. The item is designed for deburring, descaling, burnishing, and similar surface finishing operations.
