흐름의 직선방향으로부터 180도 이하의 각도로 배관하는데 쓰이는 이음쇠이다. 양단은 급속분리형으로 되어 있어야 한다. 맞물려서 연결되어 있던 급속분리단이 분리되었을때 자동적으로 유체의 흐름을 단절시킬수 있도록 자동 밀봉장치가 된 이음쇠도 있다. 일단이 급속분리형으로 되어있고 타단은 파이프나 튜브를 연결할수 있게 되어 있는 엘보우형 유채배관의 이음쇠에 대해서는 커플링하프,급속분리용(COUPLING HALF,QUICK DISCONNECT)을 참조하라.

A fluid line fitting shaped to form an angle of less than 180 degrees (3.142 radians) from straight flow. Both ends must have a quick disconnect feature. The fitting may incorporate a self-sealing feature for the purpose of automatically shutting off the flow of fluid when disconnected from a mating quick disconnect feature.
