A strap worn over the shoulders that is designed to be fastened to the top and bottom of a packboard. It is designed so as to place the bulk of the load carried on the shoulders of the wearer. It may have slide buckle(s) or keeper(s) for purposes of adjustment. It may also have a quick release buckle to permit instant removal of the packboard.
