포신으로부터 수평으로 돌출된 금속장치로서 포반장이 표적을 선택 및/또는 지정하거나 사수가 표적 정조준을 점검하는데 사용한다. 이 장치는 포신에 고정된 분할 칼라, 포신을 포와 평행하게 지지하는 돌출 암으로 구성되어 있으며, 전방 및 후방 조준기가 포신의 끝에 설치되어 있다. 후방 조준기는 방위각과 고저각 조준선 조절장치를 갖고 있다. 가늠쇠; 가늠자, 조준기, 총강용, 폐쇄기용과 조준기, 포강용, 포구용은 제외한다.
품명정의(영문)
A metallic device which protrudes horizontally from a gun barrel, and is used by a gun commander to select and/or designate a target to, or check the "on target" sight of, the gunner. It consists of a split collar which clamps on the gun barrel, a projecting arm(s) which supports a tube parallel to the gun, with front and rear sights fitted on, or into, the ends of the tube. The rear sight has azimuth and elevation boresighting adjustments. Excludes:SIGHT, FRONT; SIGHT, REAR; SIGHT, BORE, BREECH and SIGHT, BORE, MUZZLE.
