진행방향에 대해 직각으로 고정된 3개의 연결가지가 있는 이음쇠의 일종이다. 연결부 에는 외부 또는 내부나선이 있어서 가스켓,예비 성형 팩킹 와샤 등을 연결하여 보스에 봉함을 하는데 용이하도록 되어있다. 측면 유입구가 있을 수도 있으며,보스 또는 보 스 이음쇠 교차부의 탱크,하우징,발브 이음쇠 등을 연결하는데 사용한다.

A fitting having three connections with the branch connection fixed at 90 degrees (1.5705 radians) to the run. The connections have external or internal machine threads (straight threads other than pipe or hose series), and are designed to facilitate a gasket, preformed packing, washer, or the like, to form a seal at the boss. It may have side inlet(s). It is used as a junction at the intersection of a boss or boss fitting on items such as tanks, housings, valve fittings, and the like. Excludes:TEE, TUBE.
