흐름의 직선방향으로부터 180'이하의 각도로 배관하는데 쓰이는 이음쇠이다. 한쪽연결단은 표준호스용 나선으로 되어 있어서 나선단 연결부의 나선없는 부분에 호스를 직접 물리거나 또는 나선 없이 호스를 직접 끼울수 있도록 되어 있으며,다른쪽 연결단은외부나 내부에 나선이 파져있어서(파이프나 호스와는 다른 직선형나선)보스를 밀봉시키는 가스켓,패킹,와셔등을 끼울수 등있도록 만들어져 있다.

A fitting that forms an angle of less than 180 degrees (3.141 radians) from the straight flow. One connecting end must have either standard hose threads, an incomplete part of a threaded end connection that grips the hose directly, or is unthreaded and designed to accommodate a hose. The other connecting end has external or internal machine threads (straight threads other than pipe or hose series), and is designed to facilitate a gasket, preformed packing, washer, or the like, to form a seal at the boss. It is designed to join a hose or hose fitting to a boss or boss fitting on items such as tanks, housings, valve fittings, and the like. It may have side and/or heel inlet(s).
