트랙터 동력에 의거 구동되고 트랙터에 탑재되도록 만들어진 부속품. 트랙터에서 조절되고 손이나 기계로 내려 눌려지는 흙 나사송곳 비트에 회전운동을 주어 땅에 구멍을 뚫도록 만들어진 기계.부품은 각(수직적)을 갖는 구멍을 뚫도록 만들어진다. 구멍을 뚫는 것과 흙을 제거하는 능력을 동시에 갖지는 못한다.
품명정의(영문)
An attachment designed to be mounted on a tractor and driven by the tractor power take-off. It is controlled from the tractor and is designed to bore holes in the earth by imparting rotary motion to an earth auger bit which is forced downward either manually or mechanically. The attachment may be designed to bore holes at an angle (other than vertical). It is not capable of boring and removing the earth simultaneously.
