속이 채워지거나 구멍이 뚫린 구조로된 여 러가지의 단면 모양을 한 품목으로서 여러 가지 원격조정 장치를 작동하기 위하여 지 렛대 혹은 조종장치에 부착되도록 특별하게 제작된다. 이것은 다음중의 어느 하나가 된다. (1)눈고리에 압착된 쇠테나 베어링을 갖고 각 단부에 눈고리와 혹은 구멍이 있 는 한 부품으로된 품목. (2)나사 단부를 제외한 단부 처리가된 양단을 갖는 한 부품으로된 품목. (3)양쪽단부가 단부처리가되고 한쪽 단부엔 연결부가 있는 모체로 구성되 고 두개의 부 품으로 이루어진 품목. (4)몸통과 두개의 단부연결부로 구성된 세개의 부품으로 이루어진 품목. 단부 연결부가 없이 원 통형의 외부나사가 있는 품목에 대해서는 봉,나사선단식(ROD,THREADED END)와 스터드(STUD)(서술된 품목)을 참조한다.

An item of various cross-sectional shapes which may be of solid or hollow construction. It is specifically designed for attachment to a lever(s) and/or control(s) to actuate various remote mechanisms. It is one of the following: (1) A one-piece item with or without eyes and/or holes in each end which may have bushings or bearings pressed in the eyes; (2) A one-piece item with both ends processed for terminations, excluding threaded end(s); (3) A two-piece construction type item consisting of a body with both ends processed for terminations and a single end attachment; or (4) A three-piece construction type item consisting of a body and two end attachments. Excludes:internal combustion engine type piston connecting rods; DRAG LINK, STEERING; LINK, ANCHOR, BRAKE SHOE; TIE ROD, STEERING; and TURNBUCKLE.
