A water distilling unit which consists of an assemblage of components incorporating electric motor driven pumping units and electric heating units to evaporate raw sea or brackish water and heat exchangers to condense the vapor into distillate. The distillate product must be of sufficient purity to be suitable for use in marine boilers and storage batteries. The unit operates on cycle phases that preclude its capacity being rated at intervals other than one day.
