다른 장치내에 포함되어 있는 시험단자로부터 고정된 전압을 받아들여 이미 정해진 전압치로 부터 얼마나 이탈 했는가를 쉽게 알수 있도록 해주는 품목이며, 이때 전압치로 알려주는 것이 아니라 양호 불량등으 로 표시해 준다. 무선 주파수 입력으로부터 나오는 동일 또는 유사한 정보를 나타내주는 품목을 찾으려면 검시기,착오전압용(MONITOR, ERROR VOLTAGE) 을 참조하고 계수 장치 형태나 디지탈 형식으로 전압치를 보여주는 품목을 찾으려면 전압미터(VOLTMETER)를 참조한다. 참조: INDICATOR(서술된 품목)

An item that accepts fixed voltages from test points in another component or set, and displays them in such a manner that deviation from a predetermined voltage value is readily apparent. The display is in terms of "good" and "bad" and is not in terms of voltage values.
