액체용 펌프와 증발장치에 의하여 액체산소를 기체산소로 전환하는 장치이다.액체산소는 대략 대기압에서 받아들여져서 증발되고 압축된 후 대략 대기 온도나 평방 인치당 3000 파운드의 압력에서 방출된다. 열 방식을 사용하는 품목에 대하여는 액체 산소용 변환기(CONVERTER, LIQUID OXYGEN)를 참조하라.

An apparatus designed to convert liquid oxygen into gaseous oxygen by means of a liquid pump and vaporizing unit. Liquid oxygen is received at approximately atmospheric pressure, vaporized, compressed and discharged at approximately atmospheric temperature, and at pressures up to 3000 pounds per square inch (1119 kilograms per 6.451 square centimeters).
