손도구로서 박판 금속관끝을 주름 잡아 수축시키는데 쓰인다. 주름 잡는 쪽은 두개의 손잡이로 회전시키는 두개의 주름기와 깔쭉 톱니바퀴로 구성 되어 있다. 길이는 조정 가능하게 되어 있다. 형성된 조오는 프라이어 같은 손도구로 두개의 짝진 조오는 작용, 금속위에 갔다 대고 동작하면 한번 조오를 움직일때 한구멍의 주름이 나타난다.

A hand tool designed for contracting the ends of sheet metal pipe by crimping. The crimping roll type consists of a set of two crimping rolls which are rotated by means of two handles and a ratchet. The length of crimp is adjustable. The formed jaw type is a plierlike tool having two mating formed jaws which form a single indentation with each closing of the jaws upon the metal.
