베이스와 한개의 고정조 및 한개의 수동식 나사작동 조이 구성된 조이는 장치이다. 각 조는 하우징안에 들어있는 독립적으로 미 끄러지는 일련의 잡는 손가락(손가락형)을 가지거나,또는 상단에 부착된 조정식 잡는 캡(캠형) 군을 가진다. 양쪽 형태 바이스의 잡는 표면은 정사각형,원형 또는 기울기를 가진 모양 등의 불규칙한 모양의 물체를 안전하게 잡는 위치에서 고착된다. 이 바 이스는 기계테이블 위에 설치되도록 되어있다.

A clamping device consisting of a base with one stationary and one manual screw actuated jaw. Each jaw has either a series of independently sliding gripping fingers (finger type) encased in a housing, or a group of adjustable gripping cams (cam type) attached to the top. The gripping surfaces of either type may be locked in a position to grip securely irregularly shaped objects of square, round, or tapered shapes, and the like. It is designed to be mounted on a machine table.
