원통형 금속 용기로 중앙에 설치된 플린저를 통해 위험한 액체를 분배하도록 만든다. 이 깡통은 본래 세탁용 옷,스폰지,헝겊을 축축하게 적시는데 사용된다. 운용시,스폰지나 헝겊을 플런저의 상부에 장치된 망이처진 원형 접시 위에 놓고,아래쪽으로압력을 가하 여,액체를 위로 올라오게 하면 스폰지나 헝겊이 젖는다.압력이 가해지지 않으면 플런저는 압축스프링에 의해 신압신장위치로 자동 복귀한다. 가연성 액체의 임시 저장이나 취급을 위해 만든 품목에 대해서는 안전깡통(SAFETY CAN)을 참조한다.

A cylindrical metal container designed to dispense hazardous liquids through a center mounted plunger. It is used primarily for moistening cleaning rags, sponges, swabs and the like. In operation, a sponge or swab may be saturated by placing it over a screened circular tray which is mounted on the top of the plunger and exerting a downward pressure, forcing the liquid upward.
