흐름의 직선방향으로부터 180'이하의 각도로 배관하는데 쓰이는 이음쇠이다. 한쪽 연결단은 플랜지나 부착 패드 부착시키기전에 끼우기가 용이하도록 이음쇠가 축방향으로 회전될 수 있게 설계된 회전 플랜지로 되어 있으며 다른 쪽 연결단은 외부에서나 내부에서 혹은 양쪽에서 호스를 직접물릴 수 있도록 만들어져 있다. 여기에는 회전 플랜지를 끼울수 있도록 만든 부품도 된다.

A fitting that forms an angle of less than 180 degrees (3.141 radians) from the straight flow. One end connection must have a swivel flange designed to permit axial rotation of the fitting, usually for the ease of installation, prior to securing it to a flange or mounting pad. The other end connection is designed to grip the hose directly, either externally, internally, or both. It includes items designed to accommodate a swivel flange.
