플라스틱 링과 한쪽이나 두쪽의 등받이로 구성되어 있다.한 쪽의 등받이는 플라스틱 띠가 있으며 여기서 수개의 만곡링이 뻗쳐나와 종이의 구멍속에 넣게 되어있다. 두쪽의 등받이는 따로따로 떨어진 고리들이 있어서 종이구멍에 넣으며 등받이가 고리부분 위로 나와 있으며 각 고리의 양단은 이중 잠금식이 되어 있다.루스리프식 바인더로 쓰이며 목록 따위를 묶는 바인더로 이용된다.

One-piece construction consists of a plastic strip as a back from which a number of curved rings extend for insertion into elongated holes in the paper. Two-piece construction consists of a separate ring section which fits into elongated holes in the paper and a back section which slides over the ring section and double-locks both ends of each ring. It acts as a loose-leaf binder and is generally used as a binder for catalogs and the like.
