가스, 액체연료, 전기적 가열소자로부터 열을 발생할 수 있는 장치. 전기적 가열소자는 강제공기 순환방식의 금속판 관로로서 영구적으로 시설하도록 설계됨. 구성부품은 다음과 같다. (1)핀(지느러미형의), 강철 연소기 연소용, 공기 송풍기, 제어용 기판, 연료 일정공급장치. 또는(2)전원이 연결되었을 때는 직접 열을 보낼 수 있는 가열소자가 있는 장치 등이 있다. 관로 작업이 계획되거나 실시될때 연결되는 바깥쪽 외피에 설치되어 이용된다. 가열된 공기의 순환은 송풍기나 가열장치가 없는 선풍기를 사용함.

A device capable of producing heat from gas, liquid fuel, or an electrical heating element designed for permanent installation in sheet metal ducts of a forced air circulating system. It consists of (1) a finned, steel burner tube, a combustion air blower, a control panel, and a constant level fuel supply system or (2) a device having a heating element which when connected to an electrical source, directly imparts heat. It may be provided with a flanged outer casing to facilitate mounting in planned or existing duct work. Circulation of the heated air is achieved by use of a blower or fan not integral with the heating unit.
