금속제의 잠금장치로서,한쪽 또는 양쪽끝이갈고리처럼 생겼으며,스프링작용에 의해 닫혀져 있게 되는 옷의 목부분의 트인 곳을 닫거나 잠그는 장치를 갖고 있다. 한쪽끝만훅크 모양을 한 경우에는 반대쪽 끝은 다른 품목에 연결될 수 있도록 고정,이완 또는 회전식의 루프나 구멍을 가진다.안전장치를 가진 하역고리는 제외한다.
