유효부하 혹은 특정범위내에서의 입력주파 수의 변화에 관계 없이 일정한 요구되는 내계내에서 교류발전기의 주파 수출력을 자동적으로 조절하도록 특별하게 제작된 조절기다. 조절이 변압기 작용에 의하여 단독으로 수행되는 품목은 포함하지 않는다.

A regulator specifically designed to control automatically the frequency output of an alternating current generator within certain required limits, regardless of variations of the effective load or of input frequency within a specific range. Does not include items in which regulation is accomplished solely by transformer action.
