A liquid preparation which dries by evaporation and/or oxidation and is specifically compounded to provide electrical insulating characteristics. It may have other incidental values such as resistance to moisture, fungus, or the like. For items which are not specifically compounded to provide electrical insulating characteristics, use VARNISH, OIL or LACQUER. See also INSULATING COMPOUND, ELECTRICAL.
