다음과 같은 작업을 수행하도록 만들어진 장비의 총합체이다;수정되었거나 새로 수집된 자료에 근거한 면적 측정 및 지형도(지세도)의 채색, 난외주기 및 지명에 관한 목록작성, 지도 사본들에 글자 레테르붙이기, 투명지도준비 , 지도제작에 관한 일반적인 기타 요구사항 처리등을 수행한다. 이 장비는 이동 사진지도 제작에 관계된 일관 작업과정내의 타 가능장비와 함께 규정된 범위내에서 통상적으로 운영된다.

A collection of items designed to perform the following functions: color separation drafting of revised or newly compiled planimetric and topographic maps; preparation of type lists for marginal data and place names; placement of stick-up lettering of map manuscripts; preparation of overlays; and the performance of miscellaneous general cartographic requirements. This equipment is normally used in the prescribed combination with other functionally distinct sets of equipment to form a mobile photomapping train.
