내부 및 외부가 주 진행방향에 대해 회전 반경을 그리는 1-2개의 가지와 진행방향에 대해 직각인 연결부로 이루어진 이음쇠이다. 내부 나선이 있는 부분이나,없는 부분의 첨단에 내부 어깨가 있으며,내경은 표준 연강 파이프 또는 동배수관,배수 및 환기관에따라 다르다. 연결하면 연결된 파이프 이음쇠는 솔더에 밀접해서 포켓를 없애고 내용 물의 흐름을 원활하게 한다. 측면 유입구를 갖춘 것도 있다.

A fitting having one or two branches whose internal and/or external portions form a sweep or radius to the run with the connections fixed at 90 degrees (1.5705 radians) to the run. It is provided with an internal shoulder(s) at the end(s) of its internal threaded or unthreaded portion, whose inside diameter conforms to standard weight wrought iron pipe or copper drainage, waste and vent (DWV) tube. When connected, the mating pipe and/or pipe fitting is close to the shoulder to eliminate a pocket and to provide a smooth flow ofthe pipe and/or pipe fitting contents. It may have side inlet(s).
