An auxiliary container for steam boiler feed water, which also has the function of collecting returned condensate. It has a compensating, or stabilizing effect when the demand for boiler make-up water may exceed the rate at which water is being returned from the heating system, or when the water may be returning at a rate which is greater than the requirements of the boiler.
