금속제 갈고리로 나무로 된 상자나 바구니들을 기계적으로 조절하기 위하여 쌍으로 사용되는데 각각의 갈고리들은 모여진 팔들과 점점이 박아 넣은 면이나 판으로 이루어져 있다. 사용될 때는 점점이 박아넣은 판은 상자나 바구니 반대편이나 끝 쪽에 놓여지게 되고 그 팔들의 끝 쪽에 있는 개구를 통과하는 들어 올리는 줄은 그것들을 서로가 잡아 당기게 되는데 그 점으로 점들이 단단히 들어 올리는 손잡이가 되도록 상자나 바구니의 연료가 된다.

A metal item used in pairs for mechanical handling of wooden boxes and crates, each consisting of an integral arm and points. When in use, the points are placed against opposite sides or ends of the box or crate and the lifting cable, passing through openings in the ends of the arms, pulls them towards each other, thereby forcing the points into the material of the box or crate to make a firm lifting grip.
