주철재 받침과 연마원판이 회전할 수 있는 심축과 다이아몬드 드레싱 첨두로 구성된 기구이다. 다이아몬드촉은 기계적으로 작 동하는 팔에 달려있고 바로 맞추거나 모양 을 만드는 원판과 규정된 각도를 유지하도 록 조정하면 될 수 있다. 이 팔은 회전하 는 원판위로 왕복작용을 하면서 바로 맞추 기,모양 만들기 마감손실 작업을 수행한다.

A device consisting of a cast steel base, a mandrel upon which the abrasive wheel can be mounted for revolving, and a diamond dressing nib. The diamond nib is mounted on a mechanical arm which is adjustable to the specific angle that wheel is to be trued or shaped. This arm is moved in a reciprocating motion causing the diamond to pass over the face of the revolving wheel thus performing the truing, shaping and dressing operation.
