표적에 뚫린 탄착지점을 정획히 표시하는 작업에 관련하여 사용하는 것으로서,대개 둥글고,목재 같은 재료로서 만들며,중앙부 로 부터 양 끝으로 가면서 점점 가늘게 되 어 있고,평원반을 정위치에 잘 유지시키기 위해 중앙부 부근은 홈이 파여 있다. 이는 통상 일정한 최대직경을 갖고 있어서 표적 의 탄흔에 안전하게 붙여질 수 있다. 평원 반과 조립되어 있는 경우 이것은 표적 표정구가 된다.

An item to be used in connection with the exact spotting of hits made on a target. It is generally a round piece of wood, or like material, tapered from center toward both ends and grooved around central portion, to hold a disk securely in place. It usually has a specified maximum diameter so that the spindle will be securely held in the shot hole in the target. When assembled with a disk it becomes a target spotter.
