표적에 난 탄착구멍을 덮어 씌우기 위하여 특별하게 제작된 품목이지만 때때로 일정한 형태의 표적에 조준점을 지적하기 위하여 사용되기도 한다. 이것은 일반적으로 네모진 종이 쪽지로 구성되며 통상 뒷면에 고무풀이 발라져 있고 탄착 구멍을 덮을 수 있도록 충분히 커야 한다. 이것은 탄착구멍 주위와 조화를 이루는 통상 검정색, 흰색 또는 담황색 등 여러가지 색갈로 만들어 진다. 이것은 고무풀이 칠해진 면을 습기에 의하여 표적에 바르거나 풀로 바르게 한다.

An item specifically designed to be used for covering holes shot in a target but which is sometimes used to indicate aiming points on certain types of targets. It generally consists of a square piece of paper, usually gummed on back surface, and is sufficiently large enough to cover shot holes. It comes in various colors, usually black, white or buff to blend with area surrounding shot hole. Applied to target by means of moistened gummed surface or with paste.
