기록기와 재생기 요소 중 타자기 같이생긴 두개의 기계로 구성된 장치. 기록기는 수동식으로 작동되고 눈에 보이는 카피와 구멍뚫린 종이 테이프를 동시에 만들어 낸다.구멍뚫린 테이프는 테이프가 이 장치의 재생기 요소를 통해 돌려질 때 비례간격에 의해 균일한 오른쪽 마진을 자동적으로 지키도록 부호화 된다. 알루미늄이나 종이 옵세트판 또는 기타의 복사 매스터를 마련하는데 사용된다.

A unit consisting of two typewriterlike machines, a recorder and reproducer element. The recorder is manually operated and produces a visible copy and punched paper tape simultaneously. The punched tape is coded to automatically provide an even right hand margin by means of proportional spacing when tape is run through the reproducer element of the unit. It is used to prepare aluminum or paper offset plate or other duplicating masters.
