A unit specifically designed for heating water by a direct fired method, utilizing coal burned in a combustion chamber inclosed within itself. It may be furnished with a fuel oil conversion kit for converting the unit from coal to fuel oil. It may also be incorporated with a tank as an integral or separate unit for storage of the water so heated.
