기본판에 연결되는 막대와 손잡이로 이루어진 빗장지르기 장치나 핀,볼트 혹은 나사 등에 의하여 잠기는 품목들에 직접 연결되도록 설계된 빗장지르기 장치이다. 인접한 구멍에 막대를 집어 넣으므로써 혹은 몇번 두드려 잠기게 되고 캠작용에 의하여 안전하게 된다. 출입문틀에 설비되며 한쪽에서만 작동될수 있다.

A barring device consisting of an integral bar and handle which is either attached to a base plate or designed to be attached directly to the item which it fastens by a pin, bolt or screw. It is engaged by placing the integral bar in an adjoining cavity or strike and is secured by cam action. The fastener is usually mounted on the stile of a door and can be operated from one side only.
