네모난 큰 국자형의 중금속으로 된 기구로서 전면 하단부 주둥이 부분에 이빨이 달려 있고 뒷면에는 경첩이 달린 문짝이 있으며 통상 동력삽의 디퍼대에 부착시키는데 필요한 부속품이 전부 갖추어져 있으며 발굴 또는 적재작업간에 삽이 달려 있는 궤도나 바퀴 높이와 거의 같은 위치로 부터 보다 높은 곳으로 물건을 운반하는데 사용된다.
품명정의(영문)
An apparatus formed of heavy metal in the shape of a rectangular scoop, it can be fitted with teeth at the front lower lip, a hinged door at th back, and generally equipped with all necesssary fitting for attaching to the dipper stick of power shovel. It is used for moving material from a level approximately the same as the shovel crawlers or wheels to a higher lever for loading and excavating operations.
