A sling fabricated from chain, rope, or rod and consisting of two or more lengths or legs, each having one end secured to a common top attachment, and with or without attachments or built-in loops at the lower ends. It is designed for hoisting, guided missile handling, aerial delivery, and the like. It may include SPREADER,SLING, but does not include a BEAM,HOISTING. Do not use if a more specific name applies.
