절단로를 위한 흠이나 도랑이 있는 두개이상의 절단날과 기계축의 단부에 결합하도록 제작된 일체식 또는 분리식 받침대를 갖는 단부절단 공구. 흠이나도랑은 절단 날에 양의 경사를 주도록통상 나선형으로 된다. 이것은 이미 뚫린 원통형 구멍의 입구에 평저 확대를 하기 위하여 제작된다. 받침대가 필요하지만 이를 포함하지 않는 품목에 대하여 절단기, 카운터 보어용(CUTTER,COUNTERBORE)을 참조 한다.

An end cutting tool having two or more cutting edges with flutes or grooves for the passage of cuttings, an integral or removable holder designed for adaption to the end of a machine spindle. The flutes or grooves are usually helical to give a positive rake at the cutting edges. It is designed to form a flat-bottomed enlargement of the mouth of a previously formed cylindrical hole. For items requiring a holder but the holder is not included, use CUTTER, COUNTERBORE.
