An apparatus designed to raise the temperature of a fluid by bringing it into proximity with another fluid of higher temperature so that heat transfer is effected by direct contact or by passing those fluids through pipe(s), tube(s), or coils which are submerged in a tank of hot water or steam which is supplied from an outside source. The fluid is never stored in this tank. Excludes:air conditioning, electric fluid heaters, and refrigeration equipment.
